Patchouli Rose Massage Oil

Patchouli is an essential oil that you either love or hate. It’s the rare person that can wear it solo on the body, and not smell like they lived on Shakedown Street at a Dead show. However, if diluted and paired with a sweeter scent, it makes a heady scented massage oil. This recipe is taken from our book Natural Body Care: Recipes That Soothe The Skin.

Patchouli Rose Massage Oil

Ingredients:

Directions:

Add oils to the bottle, cap tightly, and shake gently before using. Use in small amounts for massages.

Notes:

Rose essential oil is often sold as an “absolute” oil, meaning it has been diluted with a carrier oil, such as Jojoba oil. This can be a harder oil to source. If you can use the carrier oil, yes, you can use an absolute blend. However, if you have money to burn Mountain Rose Herbs makes a gorgeous collection of pure rose oils.
